Pirgaki is a very beautiful and long beach, located in the southwestern part of Naxos, about 18 km far from Hora. It is a perfect place for watching sunsets with an exotic taste due to the cedars and dunes. The beach was named after a hill in the area which was an observation point for giving warning notice of pirates. This huge sandy beach is not organized, but it is found very close to tourist resorts with accommodation and other facilities.
